1999 306 Cherry red rallye
#1
Guys,

Time for me to sell this one.

99,200 miles, some service history, book is stamped up to 90k, 11 months MOT. V5 present and in my name.

Picked it up earlier this year with it needing some work. Plan initally was to either strip or track it but iit turned out to be too good for that. It also turned out it needed a bit more work than the seller let on.... The details are all in my project thread which can be found Here...

So, in no particular order, its had....

Replacement engine from my other Rallye after the one in it dropped its bottom end. Mileage unknown on this engine but it runs very very well, smooth and quiet. Cambelt done 18months ago and its done less than 5k since.
Replacement rear beam at standard ride height from Carl Grimsley
All the welding work required is done, sill and the areas around the front chassis legs. Old rot cut out and new metal welded in
Replacement front to rear brake pipes
Two of the brake pipes on the rear beam replaced
Replacement drivers side front caliper
Replacement rear caliper
New handbrake cables
New front pads
New front brake hoses
New brake fluid
Replacement radiator
New spare wheel hook as the old one was seized solid
New bulbs where needed and wiper blades all round

It passed its MOT in November and had MOT until 5th November 2016. Running standard size tyres (195/55/15 ) all round. Front suspension is lowered but I have the standard shocks and springs to go back on. Other than a cone filter and different stereo, the car is completely standard.

The only work it needs is to the paint work. There is lacquer peel on the roof and told of the doors. The bonnet and front wings have also been painted poorly at some point in the past. I've not had the cash to get this sorted.

In terms of faults, other than the paint, there is a crack in the drivers side corner of the rear bumper and the trip meter on the clocks resets itself when it feels like it..other than that, it drives very well, its smooth and quiet, the clutch is light and I actually don't want to sell it.....needs must though.

Looking for £1500 ono. Not many of these left and of those not many in standard form. Will listen to sensible offers on it.

Will get some more pictures today once it's had a good valet but for now there's these (taken before I did the work)
