Hmm, your alternators already broken? In that case it could be that...

The pulleys are removable but I'm not sure if a clutch pulley is a straight fit. I also don't think it'd rule out the alt bearings being at fault, they only disengage on over-run so most of the time it'd be driven as normal anyway, unless I'm missing something there lol.
