It will ruin the paint underneath Confusedhock: don't do it with thinners!! WTF Matt! that is like the worst bit of advice ever! windows yes, paintwork no!

A decent clay bar should remove it no problem at all! failing that 1500 or 2000 grit wet and dry and then polish until your arm hurts with a cutting compound!
