Holiday places.

Best hotel review ever! Had me in tears. I'd hate to of been this guys neibour.
Just returned from the Louis Zante beach in Lagana and must say how enjoyable it was. Rooms Our room was tidy and spacious. It was cleaned on a daily basis (unlike our neighbours which was hardly cleaned as I would put the "Do not disturb" sign on every morning after they left for the pool or beach. That's what you get when you complain about my 8 month old child chattering to herself at 5:00 in the morning) There is also a satellite Tv in the room which had the functionality to play pirated movies from a memory stick. A great facility rarely mentioned in the reviews. The Tv can also be turned up very loud. As our neighbours discover at 5:00 in the morning after there complaint was passed on to us by the Thompson Rep. Food. Always a bone of contention with all inclusive hotels the food here was great. The buffet style restaurant served up a breakfast to beat most 5 star English hotels I have woken up in. With local sausages and bacon, freshly baked bread and all the local yogurts you could think of. Omelettes cooked to order was a particular highlight for me. Lunch could be taken in the restaurant or the beach side cafe where freshly made Pizza could be eaten. The was also a rotating barbecue where pork and chicken was prepared on a daily basis. The salads were all fresh and the choice was varied. The restaurant staff were polite and attentive. They never objected to you taking food to the room as our baby would sometimes be sleepy before the restaurant opened on an evening. If i found a particularly pungent dish i would place it on our neighbours balcony so on a morning they would be greeted to an army of ants happily beavouring away as they opened their patio doors. The birds in the restaurant would come and take bread from the floor. I see some people have complained about this and would recommend that you bring a "Back Widow" catapult armed with 5mm ball-bearings. You could even persuade the animation team to add this as one of their day time activities. I would also place bread on our neighbours balcony so that when they returned from there daily excursion they would be treated to a scene similar to one from Alfred Hitcocks "The Birds" Entertainment. What great bunch. Always something happening and not too overpowering. A difficult balance to attain. Location. Couldn't be better. Bang smack on the beach and within walking distance of the main strip. There are sun beds on the beach which you can hire for 8 euros. I would recommend the Greek dude who is directly in line with the pool bar. He might have smelled a bit and scared the crap out of our daughter every time he smiled at her with his gap toothed gypsy looks, but he kept a tidy outfit meticulously raking his section of beach every morning. My only bone of contention was with the Turtles. I don't care for them much really. Apparently they are a conserved species living in a conservation area. Sea rats more like it. Every holiday I've ever been on has A "Turtle beach" or a "Turtle Island". I never trust anyone or anything that carries its house around with him. Don't get me started on snails. A word of caution though. Always take your towels with you to lunch. My neighbours didn't. I would the take them into the sea with me (just ankle deep with my back to the beach) and wipe my sweaty armpits and bum crack with them. I would then carefully replace them with the sweaty residue in the nose area. Sometimes I would wait for hours just to see the puzzled looks when they returned and assumed their sunbathing positions. Reception. Very helpful, very attentive and very understanding. Especially when you've got some miserable git complaining that the baby in the room next to wakes up too early. They even do early morning phone calls and yes, you guessed it, as my neighbours discovered several times when they were mysteriously ordered a 5:00am wake up call. This was generally arranged when we felt that the baby would sleep well that night. That night porter was a very pleasant chap who would always give my daughter a big friendly "Kalimera" just as she was dropping off to sleep. Swimming Pool. The pool is fantastic. Never too many towels on the beds and if you did reserve you beds with towels they would be there when you returned.... Apart from my neighbours. The odd time he did try and reserve sun beds I would follow down to the pool and move them somewhere else. Then not only would they not have the sunbeds they had reserved, but they would also have to wait until the last people had left the pool to see which towels were left. Otherwise they would lose their 20â?¬uro Deposit. In terms of safety I have never before witnessed such a safety conscious hotel. They have a life guard called Ismini. She is the most safety conscious life guard I've ever come across. At our local baths the lifeguards are either eying up totty or texting/facebooking on their iPhones. Ismini is a meerkat. Both in looks and attitude. She pops up her head, looks left, looks right, then stares directly ahead for hours at a time. She doesn't even take dinner breaks in case she "nearly catches missing accident because the children don't listen to safety because I don't please and thank you parents" Overall. A great hotel with a well deserved reputation. The guest services manager was fantastic, the reps were great, all the staff were polite and friendly. The best all inclusive hotel I've ever stayed at. Take heed though. This is a family hotel were people take babies and small children. If you don't like this please don't go. Find hotels which don't allow children or babies. As a last minute twist of fate we were seated directly behind the baby haters on the flight home. Every time the child looked like she was about to sleep I actively discouraged her And then held her close to the gap in the head rests so her screams would haunt them forever. If your going to complain about a babies screams make sure its justified. Think about it, is it worth it, what can they do about it and ultimately...She could be my baby ;-)

Thanks for the recommendations. Going to get some prices tomorrow. Found one or two I like. In laganas Smile
