Main reason I fancied 283mm is I've got a gtI rear axle for my d turbo, and the calipers I can get off a 307 for £17 a side! 
But if good pads and discs are alot cheaper on a 266 I'd go for them, could somebody recommend pads and discs prices for 283 and 266 brakes? 
Would I need to changes the master cylinder?
