Technically my first car I had legally on the road was a ph1 306 nad but it literally lasted 20 miles on the way home before it threw a rod
returned to the seller who was nice enough to give my money back
My first car that lasted more than a day was a Peugeot 405 turboD estate in cherry red, paid £500 for it off an old chap who only used it to tow his motorbikes around. Genuinely one of the tidiest I've seen until I put it through a metal fence about a year later
Insurance was about £1500 iirc but that was worth it with how useful it was having a huge estate car when all my mates had 106s and that type of thing lol
