No problems here! tensile strength is just the breaking strength of the bolt IIRC, the old ones tend to be tight from years of hot, cold, hot, cold, hot, cold etc and corrosion, they just need to be "tight" not "f*ck me thats tight" 
Just ask in parts supplier for exhaust sealing paste, it costs naff all. I have some Bosal stuff that I used and it worked perfectly
