depends how long the cycle is and how dirty they were!
I'd not have put the steel parts in tbh, but given you already have, make sure you wd40 the lot liberally asap, especially the cam bearing surfaces and any other machined surfaces.
I've done a gearbox and an alloy wheel before, the alloy was more to get it hot to knock a dent out
