and no, i just wanted something abit nicer to pick up women with / attend family shizzle with and doesn't look too shabby in the office carpark but still has abit of flair and sporting credentials... But i would be just as happy doing it in a shagged old 306 hdi

Focus when ages ago.found a few hdi s round my way so that may be a option
I would get another focus tbh mate, much better for winter with heated seats, mirrors and windscreen. get a newer TDCi this time though? they are plenty decent enough for a daily barge
