Besides, who they're owned by doesn't make the blindest bit of difference to where they're made. What about Mclaren, are you telling me Woking is in India? And you've never heard of Noble, seriously? I know we make jokes about you northerners living under rocks, but i didn't realise it was true. 
Also, you can have a ginetta for 30k, that's pretty affordable in my book tbf. I see what you mean about every man cars, but with labour costs being what they are in this country it's just not realistic to produce a non-specialist product and survive as a business. A lesson rover learnt well when they collapsed.
