Alright guys 
Today I changed the fuel filter and housing as there was no way the old housing lid was coming off while it was in the car.
I bought the housing off eBay and it came with a filter included. I also went out and bought a proper filter from Peugeot which was made by motorquip.
Looking at the two together you can see the difference of them both haha
glad I bought a proper one tbf.
The cheap one was 64 pleats and the proper one has 100.

Since changing the filter the idle has leveled out quite a lot so stays stable and it seems to want to rev higher than it did before
