Most jobs Tom you aren't paid for your lunch break so you can do what you want within reason.
I think it depends on the application as to if you tell them about your ibs. On our application forms at work, we ask if there is any health issues that may affect employment so if you come across something like that, you'd be stupid not to answer but if they don't ask, don't tell until the interview I think. You can't just not tell them though. You'll just end up with a bad rep if they employ you and turns out you can't really do your job because of your issues.
