for those I did get a chance to talk to, thanks for the polite and interesting conversations, despite my constant wittering and confusion!  

I have a vague recollection of talking to you at 8am and you not understanding a word of what I was on about and I don't think I understood anything either. Friday had been a good night

The show seems to be dying in my honest opinion. 

Quarry was EMPTY! Normally heaving! 

I did bring a Peugeot flag to help with french theming my car but when I saw that not many others had made an effort I had a bit of a case of CBA.

I don't just think that FCS is dying, the whole car modding scene is dying, kids aren't modifying cars any more. Have you noticed that 10 years ago the average age of people seemed to be late teens/early 20s but now the average age seems to be mid to late 20s.

I suspect the internet is killing shows as well, these days any car you like you can scroll through dozens of high res photos of everybodys build and know every intricate detail just from your computer screen so you've seen it all before you get to a show whereas a decade ago even a good digital camera was only 2mp and most people were still on dial up internet or broadband so slow that we wouldn't consider it broadband these days so you didn't get the same in depth build threads.
