Still a significant step up from the '6 though, and as Sam says, awesome teachers car... Shouldn't you be driving a brown Cavalier with a peeling bonnet and coffee stains inside...
This, I just have never liked them.. I can see why you've chosen it though so fair play. I've been in them and they are quick cars but I just couldn't own one, the arse is not attractive.
My friend has had a couple of R26 and now has an RS 265 which I think is much nicer. He had handbrake issues on both of the R26 too. (Handbrake failed on the first one, rolled down a hill and smashed into the side of a parked car!)
His RS265 is gorgeous however. They've stepped the game up on build quality too.
A balanced criticism, thanks!
I knew the reputation for build quality and the areas of danger; and the window regs were replaced 2 years ago, so that's safe'ish for a little while.
And Cambelt has just been done.
I've also been quoted for a cheeky remap (225-255) also which is tempting; but the reputable mapper suggests getting a "stage 1" to make it completely reliable. What a stage 1 is I have no idea; usually IC and intake?
Oh, there's one more thing I forgot to mention... let me go get a picture ...

Don't get me wrong, it's done to an extremely professional finish. But really isn't to my taste. OE cover ordered and on its way
