Ok,
So ill show you what colour I painted it now, although, anyone who knows me / my general projects, will have already guessed what colour the farmer has painted his car! So I am already holding tight for the abuse!!!
I loved the black ph1, and in alot of ways will miss it, but I wanted the car to stand out a bit, and the most important thing I've always had with the car / project, is how its been built at home in a farm workshop, and is heavily inspired by "agricultural" ways of working...and anyone that knows me personally, will know my love for a certain breed of tractors!
So decided you only live once, **** it I'm going to paint my car JD green!!
As with all parts of this respray project, I'm on a steep learning curve, so as will become apparent in a few videos / posts time, you will realize why i call this the "first attempt" of spraying it, but this is the first time I laid paint on the car, but sadly it turned out that I was using a far to fine nozzle in the gun, which resulted in much to little material being shot, leaving a very "dry" finish, and alot of orange peel...but for the time being, this is how it went...
So started out by cleaning up the car / tack rag and mixed the paint up, got extractor / air mask on, and applied a tack coat, followed by 3-4 "heavy" coats, albeit, not very heavy with the initial gun setup!!

Redneck heating system got workshop temp up fairly well!:

Did engine bay and door shuts, trying to do it "properly" even if I dont know what im doing!

And then the rest of the car, what have I done!!! If you look close / in the video, you can really see how "dry" the paint is:

Mugshot!

And a video, can really see the issues here! Notice how thin / rubbish its coming out the gun....after sourcing the correct nozzle, I realize what an epic fail this was!

Thanks for reading, I know its a bit criminal to the old ph1, but its only a paint job , it can be reversed heh, so not to much hate please! #farmerspecftw!!!
