Did you not need to flush the system with a special water coolant flush first??

you can, as I read about it, they also said if the coolant is drained off and left to dry out, then the prep stuff isn't required. 
So I drained the full works and let it dry, I didn't add any coolant at all to the water, when I reshelled it. As I was planning on switching to this stuff. Once I knew all was ok.
