no worrys, with mine I wire brushed all the lose and flaky stuff off and took the paint well back in those areas to ensure there was no rust lurking.
then i used bilt hamber deox gel on the large stuff, the smaller stuff went into a huge tub of bilt hamber deox c solution.
then it was cleaned down and prepped for paint.
It then got a coat of hydrate 80 over the bare metal, followed by cellulose primer, stone chip, 2 coats of colour and 2 coats of 2k laquer
