The main issue with fitting the 2.2 over the 2L is the fact that the block is about 10mm taller and this makes the engine VERY close to the master cylinder.
IIRC bits need trimming off the cam position sensor and plastics in that area
Or drop the engine downwards...
The 2.2 is much more awkward to fit than the 2.0 - putting a mechanical pump on is not a 20 second job....
It's definitely a 2.2 as the turbo is a GT1549P rather than the standard GT1549 as put on the 2.0 16v.
