Your right, the VRS isn't as quick as they like to make out (like most VAG stuff imo) but still a lot of kit for your money

Its not though, a moderately nippy FWD estate with electric windows, dual climate control, a stereo and pretty much the same as any other family saloon. If your going that route I'd have the Mk4 Mondeo either with the Volvo T5 (Focus ST/RS lump) or the awesome 200bhp diesel. Its better handling, better looking comfier better laid out bigger inside just better at everything. The only reason to buy an Octavia over a Mondeo is if your going for one of the 4WD ones.

Oh and the 300C isnt a poor mans roller, its a rich mans Merc (probably based on a Merc chassis lol) and far more gangster




Actually Scrott what about a Merc CL500 or SL500, might even stretch to the AMG. Obviously it wont do 25mpg but it'll go like an AMG Mercedes. Actually for £9k you could get the drop dead gorgeous Nissan Sylvia (200SX S15) or probably even an R33/34 Skyline GTR
