So almost 3 weeks ago now the turbo blew on the hatch, what a nightmare that was.
Found out when taking the broken turbo off that the car doesnt have EGR and that the turbo was a T2, though the seals blew the shaft has almost no play, so buying used turbos now seems a very luck based affair
Currently running the K14 off the sedan and i much prefer the smaller turbo, spools so much quicker, changed the power range from 3-4k to 1.5-3k, much more fun to drive now! (Still running standard tune on lucas)
Anyway put some S16 seats in:
Got the engine out the sedan, the car has 133,338 miles on the clock:
Not bad?
Getting excited:
Went to Dorchester to strip a white phase 3 1.9D with a blown head gasket, turns out when you take all but the drivers seat out you can fit:
4 doors, bumper, 2 headlights, 2 tail lights, full exhaust, grille, 4 front shocks with springs, 2 front wings, 2 axle stands, 1 trolley jack, 4 door rubbers, 4 headrests, tool box, 5 litre oil container, 2 radios, 2 side skirts and 2 wing mirrors.
Not the most comfortable or safe journey home
