It is bloody stupid. I bet they'll do away with it being refundable, too? So I tax a car until the end of the calender month, for one month only because it's being advertised for sale. Car sells on the 10th, so I only got a weeks' worth out of my month, but it won't be refunded.
New buyer has to buy tax for it immediately. Even though I've already taxed it until the end of the calender month.
