Thing is, people can know about cylinder heads, understand port shaping etc...
But haven't the first clue when it comes to diesels... They're there trying to induce swirl on an indirect injection diesel and trying to piss about with shaping... Then going to a DI diesel and trying to get as much flow whilst paying no attention to the fact that the swirl needs to be optimised for an engine spinning to a max of ~5500-6000rpm! It's painful to see..
Great example is HiFlow heads - they have a PDF about XUDs and what they can do and it's under the name of "Peugeot TDi" - I rest my case.
Never take a *DIESEL* cylinder head anywhere unless they seriously know what they're doing... 99.9999% of places don't - they couldn't be more different from petrol heads a lot of the time.
