Not a 306, but a 206! My sisters 206CC, 2 litre petrol version.
Driving back from work today and her engine light comes on, with a message saying 'Catalytic Converter' (I wasn't there so not sure of exact wording)
I'm obviously going to hit google now and look but as it's a Peugeot perhaps a common problem with the petrols? Early results are to see if it just goes away, or perhaps plugs/coilpacks need changing.
Apparently the car was no slower for the warning light and didn't judder/stall at all. So don't think it's the cat itself but something up/downstream of it possibly?
