I got the long one replaced in rubber all the way to the bulkhead connection to remove as much aluminium and joint sections as possible to avoid further leaks. Not all good news though, when the pipes were replaced and the major leaks fixed, it was then noted the the condenser was leaking but due the leak in the system prior to that, this was not picked up at the initial test.
Your very welcome but that was bad luck for you.![]()
I spoke to a few aircon specialist and they all said the lower pipes and condenser are the most common problems on the 306.
So it would appear (also taking our two examples in consideration) if one goes the others are most likely to follow sooner our later, in which case you are better off just doing the whole lot and being done with it.
Did you change the receiver drier as well?
No i didn't change the receiver drier, once we got the pipes replaced and fitted i got the pressure test done to make sure the were not leaking and it was then when it was noticed the die coming from the condenser. I have saved the links you previously sent for the replacement condenser and drier so hopefully once these are done things should work fine. Just not looking forward to changing the condenser mind.
