Easy way to fit a rear beam ?

As said, you did it the easy way.

To remove:

Remove brake calipers and handbrake cables and move out the way. Use a trolley jack under the middle of beam. Undo bolts in boot, lower jack. Might need to wiggle the beam a bit as the bolts can catch.

To fit, reverse process.

It can be done with one person, but a lot easier with a friend helping.
