Theres an absolute massive area of nothing where it is. At the moment theres no other place I can put it and don't have any tubes or pipes to move it.

You can see in this in the middle next to engine that small metal piece what was holding the orginal filter piping in place, its bolted to the side of the engine and also holds some other wires in place, I was going to have it there, attached to the box as in SRowells picture but unless I get rid of that it wont fit.
Then further down past that bit is the radiator piping which surely is hotter than where it is now?
It's in a nice open space not near anything too hot so will it really be a major problem like this? Again I don't know much so any advice is welcome, also my funds aren't great being a student... Not much in the way of tools either. (DIY skills even worse if I had to put together a system to get it to the front.)

This from another forum that a guy did to his 1.4. Looks like he has the original piping up to where the box would still be, looks like that would then bring the cold air up to the space and where the filter fits.
What do you think?
