But seriously, I'd tell your gf you both should go see it, and that at the end of the day it's up to her, but be honest with her if you think it's a dog.

There's not much more you can do. But make sure you are clear on your opinion of the car before anyone commits if it's a shitter.

I know that's a bit harsh, but if the inlaws think they know best then let em burn imo!!
