So when are you guys off? I've not really kept up to date on this thread so excuse me for not reading 15 pages to find out 
Definitely do this, I've just lost my bank card this week at a HSBC ATM, it kept saying my PIN was wrong but I think by bank were just blocking it as it was overseas. I didn't think about it at first as I'd been using my credit card without problems but if you have a current account card which you plan on using then definitely tell your bank!
