Have a brief look under the car into the area above the wishbone. Does your handling seem worse? check to make sure you haven't snapped a drop link. The newer ones are made out of plastic so break easily as my friend has found out.

£12 each to replace and a 10 minute job if so.

The cars feels and drives fine apart from a loud knock when going over a some big bumps, it feels like when the suspension is fully used then there's a loud knock...

It might be a Liam said, a broken spring?

I'd just get under the car and have a look buddy. Honestly you'll find out if anything is snapped by having a peek.
