Can't figure it out mate, but thinking about it last night it must be the turbo that's popped again. First time round it was definitely user error, I hadn't clamped the compressor housing properly. This time everything was checked and double checked, turbo was solid before fitting, it was primed with oil properly, engine warmed up before pushing hard.
And it was an animal even at low RPM, the death came after the first run through the whole rev range at full throttle. f*ck knows why it popped, the gauge said about 35psi but was only for about 5 seconds, surely not enough to destroy bearings?
