Yes to the PAS pump being below the alternator, 1 pipe from tank to pump and the other then disappears down the front of the block and then aft under the sump in the general direction of the steering rack.

Sounds like you have the same set up as me. I've PM'ed you with a few more phots to confirm same set up.
