Yeah I thought that'd at least get a giggle. 
And yeah I totally understand that, but what I mean is don't dwell on it, you can't change what has happened....you've just gotta deal with it now.
Oh and a tip from me, don't burn ya bridges with the parents haha.
However, give your step Dad an apology and Im sure they'd let you stay there as they can see you're struggling??
