Thanks anyway mate, think once I get the cable replaced it should be fine now, sorted the problem with the lack of a switched live behind the hu, just a shame I didn't move the cable first, think it must of shorted somewhere, maybe I stripped the cable when routing the cable, could of been why it blew the fuse before, will protect it a bit better next time
