So, just finished cleaning up for today, may as well chuck this in, incase anyone is interested at all, a couple of recommendations.
Firstly, i'd recommend using gunk to clean up utensils and tools after a days work; there's nothing worse than getting a tool set dirty, then going back and using dirty, greasy tools. I use the large Gunk tins and pour it into a spray bottle. (You can buy the spray bottles already, but it works out to be twice as much, stingy'student again)

Secondly, i'd recommend strongly that after removing bolts, parts, or anything on a small scale, that the bolts are bagged up and labelled for later use; i'm just using normal sandwhich bags and a piece of paper inside telling me where they're from. keeps all the bolts together without losing any and ensures they all go back in the same place afterwards

Also, keeping the area as generally, as tidy and clean as possible; theres nothing worse than removing a bolt, lobbing' it out and not being able to find it again, 4 months down the line.
Finally, keeping spare tubs, pots and kitchen paper to hand is always a useful tip. Always handy!
