FYI I know it's not a Peugeot or a 306 for that matter but the bloke that was going to do my exhaust (not getting it done there now as it's going to take him 3 days+ and I need access to a car 24/7!) at AW Tracksport has a Citroen AX that he's shoehorned a Cosworth YB 2.0 Turbo engine into which has had huge amounts of work done to and the thing sounds f*cking awesome so if it can be done to an AX a 306 won't be any problem!
Cosworth would be a better option IMO, not too much fabrication, not a huge amount bigger than the 1.4 Pug lump but with huge amounts of extra power and to add to that a turbo as well...I say Cossie engine with a bigger turbo and intercooler setup front mounted and you've got the recipe for a f*cking nutcase of a motor!
