Britool/Facom are also pretty darned good...
This +1... I swear by Britool/Facom, most of my tools are from them, just pisses me off how Facom is so much more, just because it's the European sister-company...
If you want cheap and cheerful then Gear wrench offer some competitive budget tools, the ratchet's are like Ruan says though, very notchy and they have a very "unrefined" feeling... That is, however, reflected in the price!
