I dunno what you think the golfs worth but I don't think it'd cover buying and insuring a 306!

Worst case scenario? 2 grand for the Golf?

You could buy a decent 306 for £7-800 easy. Even if your insurance is £1200, that's a total of 2 grand. So you break even.

But you can find decent 306's for £600, and your insurance should be down to near the £700 mark? So that makes £1300 total. Leaves you £700 to play with!
