		Put a mat over the stain on the carpet...   Any sort of solvent should remove it but depends what its on as above.

		Rubber hosing, was painting some bare metal in the bay while I waiting for paint and the wind took a a couple of drips some rubber hoses that run under the top mount

		It probably won't peel. I've done this before   the hoses are a pita for access, I thought about rubbing it down with white spirit/thinners? 		Hmmm nitro morse peels everything! Be ready with a bucketful of soapy water and a sponge and glove within minutes! Vaseline might be handy lol

		I'm thinking of just painting the hoses. They don't get seen anyway where they are, or covering them with something. It was a fair few drips made worse by me trying to wipe it off after I noticed
