As many of you will know, I sold my cabby recently. I really didn't want to let it go, but I needed something with more doors, more boot and more roof. Also, and most importantly, it needed to be a HDi.
After a few weeks searching, I found this!

![[Image: IMG_6238_zpsop4jepy9.jpg]](http://i1080.photobucket.com/albums/j328/Jonny_Moore/IMG_6238_zpsop4jepy9.jpg)
China blue phase 3, standard Meridian spec that according to the ad required nothing doing. The owner even offered me a lift from Southampton to Gloucester to collect it! It turns out that it had been modified by a toyota tuning specialist, who had grafted an XUD intercooler on and mapped it to stage 1, then thrown a helix fast road clutch with stage 3 pressure plate at it just to be sure it wouldn't slip!

I'll be chucking some B4's on the front as there's a knock from the N/S shock, and I've nicked the brakes from the cabby but otherwise it's currently being a good daily driver. Took me and my girlfriend up to Scotland and back the other week without skipping a beat and is consistently getting 50MPG or so. There's a bit of a hesitation under part throttle, so I'll plug it in at some point but I suspect it's probably the map as it seems to drive like a tuning box, lots of coal off boost and I've had faster stage 1's TBH. However, it'll soon be much less reliable as I'm going to tune the f*ck out of it! Just need to help Poodle get his twin turbo beastie on the road, then we'll be bolting on some snails and adding more fuel

Without the bonnet 'carpet' from an XUD or a scoop how can a TMIC be efficient?
China Meridian FTW btw.

Interesting, why a TMIC over FMIC Jonny? TMIC would be a lot easier to route up but supposedly not as efficient as an FMIC ive heard.

I didn't fit it, so I don't know. I reckon with ducting it'd be a good stage 1+ setup.

Seems a waste to fit a decent clutch and IC (albeit in the wrong place) to only go stage 1+!?
