Fan switch part number

There seems to be a plethora of part numbers for the fan switch. I'm after the number for a 2l 16v cabriolet. X86 KAC if that helps!

If you have AC (well, had AC!) you don't have a fan switch!

Was fairly vague, I mean the fan that cools the engine, its not kicking in at all so I end up sitting in traffic sweating over the car overheating. The fans work as they have been tested by Jimbo just need to find the right part to replace!

go to a motorfactor, theyll have them for about £12 or so

see sig for o.e numbers.

There's several variants, some single and some twin speed with various different temperature options available as well.

If it's original (and some aftermarket) then it should have a coloured band on it to identify it.

The ones I can remember off the top of my head are red band is 97 (low) /102 (high) degree twin speed, purple which is 92/97 twin, and yellow which is 97 degree single speed.

I think the red banded 97/102 is part number 126445.

However, looking at Servicebox it looks like 126440 is listed for the later 2.0 16v engines which is 97 degree single speed, and thus I think should be yellow banded.
