My aircon sometimes comes on automatically when I start the car.

Any ideas?

Mine turns on when the switch is set to one of the two defrost modes, could it be that?

Tinkerer of 306gti6 trackday racer, less stuff, more hard, more umpf, more stop.

If you are set to clear windows (upmost on the dial that selects vents)it will come on automatically if the temperature is above I think 3degrees.
