Matt had a 405 come into work today destined for the crusher, so in typical Herefordshire fashion we saved it haha
Here she is, a 1995 405 stdt with full mi16 body, xud9te with bosch pump and most importantly all in decent condition
Needs the drivers door sorting (won't open) and a wing mirror, apart from that she's a beaut! Really nice condition paint, no fade or peel anywhere
 ![[Image: 20140908_182001_zps84467d50.jpg]](http://i1310.photobucket.com/albums/s649/ozonehostile/Mobile%20Uploads/20140908_182001_zps84467d50.jpg)
Plans are to give it a decent overhaul, and maybe end up as the new home of my fabled truck turbo
We'll see though

I know! It's shocking that some people think that the only way to get rid of an old car is to weigh it in, almost every day matts ringing me to say you'll never guess what's just come in haha

Mad that people are prepared to crush perfectly good cars for the sake of £90 or so

Yeah absolutely I can't believe they've declined so quickly compared to the 205 and even Ph1 306, they were both around at the same time yet the 405 is the rarest one?
Gave this one a quick blast around the estate earlier, really stirred up the nostalgia from my first days of driving in my 405s, such a nice handling car even with standard floppy suspension it still cocks a wheel haha

Aha, I was waiting for this to appear after seeing a hint of it via Snapchat!

what me and my mate used to do, after we robbed what we wanted from the cars, We would go up the hill, where they used to put the cars that were 15 years plus old, and I tell you what, the amount of classics and decent cars that were took up there were unreal!! We saw a Rover P1 that was from a Rover P1 owners club still intact too! not even robbed for bits, a triumph acclaim, ( those are bloody rare!)
that was still intact, sierra that was in mint con, would have made a good body for a cosworth. It was just shocking. We asked about them too, and they used to say, yeah that come in and laugh is lads they are all good runners too! Mind we did see some sheds like! A tarted/boy racer Fiat Cinquecento, that must have been a part ex, Also a Rover 200 1.4 8v that had the ZR body kit with the 160 badge, the lads kept that in for me to have a look at for the crack! we did have a right laugh!

I still see the odd one or two about still, as cars that age are rare sights to see.
i think i am only one of 3 maybe 4, to own a H plate car.
you will find, the rarer they are, the more they are worth too! KrisB has or had one, that's if he still got his.

Lol it probably won't be any time soon, definitely going to get my rallye done first.

I'll put it through for an mot when it comes to it then start majorly tidying it up, might just do that and sell it tbf as a property decent Base for someone else to work on, but we'll see

age tom, some people don't really care about it due to the age of it, they will say well its nearly 20 years old, whos going to buy it.
One old fella gave up driving and scrapped a perfect Mk4 escort! the scrap lad said he was in two minds, on breaking it or just to sell it on again, as it was that good.
