Ive done about 6k on mine and it looks in better nick than that. They way I seen it was the rivets were of a softer material than the pressure plate and would surely just wear down.
Not sure what to do with mine now ill fire some pics in for comparison

CG just emailed again. Saying theres no way thats only done 2000miles unless it was hard miles from the word go. They said it should still run but its up to me basically.
They can do a full rebuild of it for £69+£11.75 return postage.

Not sure what to do....sell on, if Ash still maybe wants it and use the £80 to just buy a brand new one or get this one refurbed they offering a dual friction clutch setup, same power handling as the paddle, but better for daily use, £228inc vat

Hmm id say go for a refurb mate and use away?
Asni say mine done 5-6k or so, 280lbft from the word go and a lot of stop/start driving to uni and back.

Thats both sides, the pressure plate and the whole lot. Think I pictured the worst rivets but as I said a good few hard miles. Very doubtful that has only done 2k.

yeah man, I know you sent some pics, just couldnt see the wear on them. I dont want this thread, or any public thread, to be a slating on you pal. You sell good parts to loads of us, me in past too, all happy. Just when I was about to throw it in me boot, few guys were like, "crap thats fubared"....so its my inexperience I guess

I don't see how it can be f*cked it held 290lb ft dno proven not just a guess
 It didn't slip or judder

If something's f*cked or Dosent work how it should it gets chucked in the boot and scrapped with the car

I'd made a grand profit off the car I didn't sell it because I needed the cash I even knocked £50 off the price to match what a new plate would cost

Like to think im a fair seller not in it to rip people off

Not to particularly wade in on this buyer/seller dispute you need to remember how hit and miss the quality of CG stuff is, sometimes it'll happily last thousands of miles and do a great job and sometimes its made so badly it doesn't even work to start with.

Thats interesting.

I'm playing the "feel sorry for me" role with CG, mentioning their new materials and their old ones being crap, trying to get discount from them on refurb

Oooo and thankyou Sam...

		So....
Clutch has been sent to CG for the refurb. £69+return postage...it was discounted already as they normally charge £80 just for drive plate refurb.

Powerflex also been in touch saying they may have something to send me soon for the rear beam!

And I have the arch roller of Dumdum now...so front arches next to stop them destroying my tyres

and more for me to find them later...

The second tech who emailed me said something wasnt right and it was my risk to fit the clutch the way it was. He said it would hold, but perhaps only for a few more hundred miles as it would begin overheating with the rivets touching the pressure plate so much
