Unbolt the middle make it long then rotate it. It's on a screw thread.

It's not bent. It was fitted to a 306 cabby before. I had the same thing with my original you just need to line it all up and bolt it down.

The middle of the adjustable bit is a turnbuckle so slacken the lock nuts off and turn the middle part to extend it evenly at both ends.
Doesn't look bent to me tbh, just looks like it needs adjusting. Although it should be near enough if it was fitted to a cabby before?

I know, but the one in themy second post is the same as what ginge has.
It will fit he just needs to line it all up and then use a bit of force to bolts it down.

My strut brace end plate look like they wont fit (and in truth they dont) but once ive got them bolted down with longer bolts the bolt pulls the plate flat with the strut top and keeps the whole thing in tension.

So it fits but here are the problems. I think it would sit better on a phase 2 dturbo or hdi. All these struts sit on the brake reservoir cap my old one was the same. Did not do any damage but a pain if you want to get into the reservoir as you have to remove the strut or at least one end.

Back up for sale.

Also the bonnet is higher so will close better, unlike on the phase 1 cars.
Mine closed fine, I know its a slightly different brace, but if you look at my pic it sits in the same place as this one and at the same height.
