Cam covers

After much reading I understand that Peugeot don't sell seperate gaskets for the cam covers for the gti6 engine, just wondered if anyone has found anything I.e cork gaskets or something along those lines because I would like to get my rocker covers powder coated but don't want to destroy the gaskets if I can't get new ones and I don't fancy playing about with instant gasket!

I think ur ment to use gasket maker

The gaskets are quite a hard rubber so don't worry about that. Just ensure that the power coaters are well aware not to damage them or coat them.
If you want, you could but a bead of instant gasket on the old gasket and let it almost dry then bolt it down.

Kl I thought they dipped the parts they where powder coating though, could be wrong I don't know I'm not a powder coater lol. I can't remember where I seen it but some one was talking about making cork gaskets to sell for these if that's anything you's might have seen or heard of either?

I doubt the gaskets will survive powder coating we bake stuff off at 183° and its a powdered plastic sprayed on with a static charged gun

This. Normally powder coating cures between 180 and 200 decrees Celsius. Obviously not ideal if you are a rubber gasket. Stick some instant gasket (the type in a silicone-style gun) on as others have mentioned

It depends what powder were using acrylic is baked at 200° and the other we use is baked at 183° and finally lacquer at 170° each company has different curing times for different temps
