Noisey pump...video

Got an odd rattle/noise from the pump at idle.

See poor quality video below:



Notice that when I hold revs up or gently prime the fuel grenade the noise goes??

No other symptoms...but its concerning!

Lack of fuel? would explain the how it dissapears etc.. dont ask how its a lack of fuel mind lol

Running about 35% veg there...I have just put 20litres of diesel in and will keep to diesel for next couple hundred miles and see if it changes.

Pump was rebuilt for this engine and all checked out ok. But guess could be.

If it is the veg....is that common??? upgrade fuel lines solve it we think?!

yeah this my thinking...maybe the big ass filter is too restrictive.

Thats what it sounds like tbh, if its all been rebuilt and checked its running slighty dry and when u pump grenade its topping it back up so to say..

Hmmm. I got a double inline fuel filter system I am working on...2 x 6mm clear filters....that should equal 12mm flow in my mind. Soon see.

I get the same thing and have ever since I've run veg, it's worse on a cold morning so I think it's starvation...

What he said ^^ mine makes same noise on cold veg hence my questions sort your filters out!

good to hear its not just me...
