Fuel line under car.

Would i NEED to use hard fuel pipe under the car or can i just rip that off and use rubber hose? Obviously fuel grade stuff, probably cable tied onto the existing return pipe which i dont see the point in changing?

I've used the braided flexi fuel line stuff underneath before..

Why would it be a problem?

I've been running rubber fuel hose under my car for a while now, zip tied up.

I did shit it when I went over that deer though!

But thankfully they stayed intact, despite taking my rear bumper clean off

10mm & 8mm copper lines, they clip straight into the existing clips.

Be careful when clamping the hose onto the tank pickup, it's made of plastic that doesn't take much to break.

Is 3metres enough to go from tank to pump? It would if I ran it through the car but that's not a good idea!

What internal diameter is that pipe? If you don't have enough I have 10 metres of fuel line that I never used I can sell if its the same size.

Its 10mm internal diameter. Looks like really good stuff just not long enough lol.

I used 8mm and it was slack to the fitting on the tank...

The return on the tank pickup is small but the "in" pipe seemed quite big. I plan on going 10 all the way to the pump getting rid of the 8mm under the car and that hard pipe on the fuel pump that's tiny.

these pumps DONT like positive pressure. I looked into it...and Ruan and Darren were like NOOOOOO!

A lift pump would be fine with a swirl pot, just not direct.

Is there a point where having the diesel/veg too warm becomes an issue?

Thermal wrap, insulation, electric bed blankets/elements.

Or the old "glow plug" trick, pass it over a glow plug to warm it slightly.

Deffo worth upgrading the lines. There very small / dragging as stock...and thats on derv..let alone veg...lift pump with a swirlpot would work perfectly. This is how mine was setup before.
