That's about a mile from where I'm sat now, I've seen it about before and I knew that fucker wasn't standard as I floored the old DT, which wasn't really quick :p , and that took off.
I'm also tempted as I got paid today, despite not being able to insure it most likely and already using my NCD on the DT.

I do want something else to go to work in...

I'd imagine because the engines in the estate are lighter than the gti?

well I was with the 15kg because I couldn't remember the exact weight but a mate of mine converted an estate to a gti6 years back and retro-fitted the gti6 half leather etc so was basically the same spec and it weighed less than my gti6...

it didn't when my mate had it lol

it was white on cyclones then standard silver 180 wheels but was bought a write off from a local salvage yard (cannot remember if cat C or D) and the paintwork wasn't the best...
Was a 2.0 Hdi and he bought a gti6 which had been crashed and had a different colour front end and swapped everything over in a weekend...
New owner resprayed, fitted anth 180 wheels and smoothed the bonnet etc... oh and added a towbar and began towing a caravan

He was on the GTi6 owners club when it was still free dunno if he's anywhere now.

In regards to the post about emissions, it doesn't come into the MOT about the engine in the car.
