75w80 says autodata....but I would prefer to use 75w90

Bumping an old thread to save making a new 'un, what box oil should i be putting in a dt box? HAd a search and a google and found mixed results :/
Doesnt even own a 306.
The Pug dealer stuff.... 2 litres of it.

Unless its a 6 box, then pretty much anything will be ok

The pug stuff is the best though....
Other others seem to make them difficult to get gears when cold.

Yeah, I do recommend using the correct oil, sorry above post was a little informative lol!

Sweet haha, i got a litre of something in the shed i think so will just buy another and use that, need to get some driveshaft oil seals tooo

Posted at the same time lol, I hadn't read your post.
 I'm used to TU's and HDi 'boxes though, the XUD 'box might be a little more tolerant, I've never had one lol.

If i could get it for that at my local pug i would but i always seem to get raped there so gave up with them tbh!

Pug is cheaper than wilco / halfrauds stuff. Didn't notice any difference between them though.
I hate gearbox oil.
On the 306 waiting list.

Well it was 13quid in halfords on trade, so not to bad, there book recommends 75w/80
