...that I've lived in London for now, and now the silence of the countryside disturbs me...
You can hear EVERYTHING and it's freaky!

And the stars.... There's so many....

 Epic.....

Dude you will get used to peace and quiet.
London is weird, there's ALWAYS this background hum that you never really notice unless you get actual silence.

I still don't understand why people hang around cities. Some places of Kent are urban enough for me. Living just on the outskirts of a medium sized town is best I think.

Stu you cant complain if your living on a farm rent free, Ill come to your "house" warming, ill bring beer.

I reckon my place is nearly the perfect balance of town/countryside. All I can see out the windows is countryside (fields and trees and stuff) but I'm within a half hour walk of a Peugeot dealership, 2 mainline stations, a 24 hour Tesco and places where you can drink till 3am and buy kebabs.

I really don't get what people like about the countryside..... I live there, it's shit. I wouldn't want to live in the town centre, but on the outskirts of a town would be my ideal place. Everything within walking distance or a short drive - popping to the shop/bank takes an hour, 25mile round trip from here. Frozen food is defrosting before you get home. Costs nearly a fiver in fuel alone, and then if you have to pay to park as well costs even more. Stupid winding roads with too many old people, cyclists and tractors and very few (safe) overtaking places. Dirty country roads covered in slippery mud and shit from farms - and the smell of horse manure, silage, pig slurry is disgusting.
So what are the upsides lol??
